Activated Carbon Decolorization Tank

Principle

The activated carbon decolorization tank adsorbs pigments or impurities in materials through activated carbon, thereby removing colors, fishy and foul odors, etc., from food additives, biological products, oils and fats, and achieving the purposes of removing impurities, purifying, and refining.

Features

  1. Due to its excellent characteristics, activated carbon is suitable for processing various materials such as chemical auxiliaries, dye intermediates, and liquid medicine preparations.
  2. The activated carbon decolorization tank generally has a vertical closed structure, which ensures both hygiene and the activity of activated carbon.
  3. The activated carbon decolorization tank is a stainless steel decolorization tank, which can mix materials with the assistance of an agitator and heating to ensure the adsorption and decolorization effect.
  4. Depending on the amount of activated carbon added, the activated carbon decolorization tank can be loaded with materials either by vacuum feeding or manual feeding. The activated carbon can be added as a solid or wet material. The specific choice depends on the usage conditions.
  5. The amount of activated carbon added depends on the volume of the tank and the quantity of impurities or pigment – like substances.
  6. When using activated carbon for decolorization, it should be added after the solid substances are completely dissolved. Because although colored impurities can be dissolved in boiling solutions, when cooled and crystallized, some impurities will be re – adsorbed by the crystals, causing the product to be colored. Therefore, activated carbon for decolorization should be added only after the solid substances are fully dissolved.
  7. Activated carbon must not be added to the boiling solution in the activated carbon decolorization tank, as this will pose a risk of bumping. It should be added before boiling!
