1. Overview and Applications
A dispersion kettle integrates high-speed shearing and on-machine mixing. We mainly use it in chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries.
Specifically, it applies to paints, inks, pigments, cosmetics, and ointments. It delivers a good mixing effect on polar immiscible substances.
Two polar, immiscible substances need their structure broken first. The high-shear dispersion disk performs this structural breakdown.
We combine the high-shear dispersion disk with an anchor agitator for stirring. This combination ensures no shear-free dead spots in the tank.
2. Core Functions and Main Components
The dispersion kettle has multiple practical functions. These include heating, cooling, insulation, stirring, and metering.
It consists of several key components. These are a kettle body, a kettle cover, and a jacket or coil (for heating and cooling cycles).
Additionally, it includes an agitator, a transmission device, a shaft seal device, legs, and insulation medium.
3. Tank Body Configuration
The tank body is equipped with various functional parts. These include manholes, feed ports, discharge ports, sight glasses, and spotlights.
It also has breathing ports, a CIP port (with a sanitary universal cleaning ball), and sample ports.
Furthermore, it features thermometers, temperature sensors, and cold and hot medium inlets and outlets.
4. Kettle Body Material and Surface Treatment
We make the inner kettle body from SUS304 or SUS316L stainless steel. The outer insulation shell uses SUS304 material.
We polish the inner surface of the stainless steel kettle body to a mirror finish. The outer surface adopts a brushed plate.
5. Kettle Bottom Structure
We press the dispersion reactor’s kettle bottom into an R corner through stamping. We then weld and polish it with the inner kettle body, leaving no dead spots.
6. Agitator Assembly
The agitator assembly consists of several components. These include a reducer, a motor base, a stirring shaft, a stirrer, and a mechanical seal device.
7. High Shear Dispersion Disk
It includes a motor, a dispersion installation flange, and a dispersion shaft. Its speed reaches 1440 rpm.
8. Standard Configuration
The dispersion reactor has a complete standard configuration. This includes a manhole, feed and discharge ports, and cold and hot medium inlets and outlets.
It also has a spare port, cleaning port, thermometer port, pressure gauge port, and vacuum port.
9. Processing Features
We round all process holes of pipeline ports and inner kettle body welding parts with turning technology. This makes the surface smooth and easy to clean, with no dead spots.
Moreover, it gives the dispersion kettle an attractive overall appearance.
