Vertical Jacketed Kettle

Overview

A vertical jacketed kettle, literally understood, is a pot with an interlayer. To elaborate, it is a pot with an interlayer that has heating or cooling functions and can be used for steaming, boiling, stirring, reacting, dissolving, etc. It is one of the commonly used equipment in the food and pharmaceutical industries. It can also be used in large restaurants or canteens for making soup, cooking dishes, stewing meat, porridge, etc. It is an excellent equipment in the food processing industry that improves quality, shortens time, and improves working conditions. The main body consists of a pot body and a bracket. It has a three-layer structure composed of inner and outer spherical pot bodies. Steam or heat-conducting oil from electric heating tubes is introduced into the middle interlayer for heating. The outer layer is covered with an insulating jacket, which is clean and hygienic, preventing heat loss and people from being scalded.

Vertical jacketed kettles come in fixed, tilting, and stirring types. The fixed type is vertical and non-tilting, and can discharge materials through the bottom outlet. It is suitable for materials that are relatively thin, easy to discharge, or small in size, which can be directly lifted and poured out. The tilting vertical jacketed kettle uses a worm gear to shake and tilt for discharging, which enables quick discharge and easy operation. The stirring vertical structure is a pot with a stirring system. Stirring can make the material heat more evenly, speed up the reaction, and facilitate discharge.

This equipment features a large heat exchange area, high thermal efficiency, uniform heating, short liquid boiling time, easy control of heating temperature, beautiful appearance, easy installation, convenient operation, safety, and reliability. Our company specializes in designing fixed vertical jacketed kettles, tilting electric-heated vertical jacketed kettles, tilting steam-heated vertical jacketed kettles, and tilting stirring vertical jacketed kettles.

Structural Features

  1. Volume: 50L, 100L, 200L, 300L, 400L, 500L, 600L, 800L, 1000L.
  2. Structural forms: Divided into tilting type and fixed type. According to process requirements, it can be equipped with or without a stirring device. Specific structures can be selected based on usage conditions or material characteristics.
  3. Material: ① The inner pot body is made of stainless steel (SUS304/SUS316L), and the jacket and bracket are made of carbon steel (Q235-B) with anti-rust paint and topcoat applied; ② The inner and outer parts are all made of 304 stainless steel, which is suitable for occasions with hygiene level requirements.
  4. Equipment with stirring device: Central stirring at the top. The output shaft of the reducer is connected with the stirring paddle shaft through a loose sleeve, which is convenient for disassembly, assembly and cleaning. The stirrer adopts anchor type stirring or anchor type wall-scraping stirring.
  5. Stirring speed: 36r/min or other fixed-speed stirring, can also be variable frequency speed regulation, the speed is generally low.
  6. Foot form: ① Vertical pot body: three-cone type, pipe type; ② Tilting pot body: square tube bracket type.
  7. Equipment configuration: Temperature sensor or direct pointer display thermometer, jacket inlet and outlet, discharge port, etc.
  8. The tilting vertical jacketed kettle body can tilt up to 90°, and the tilting mode is manual worm gear shaking type.

Note: The jacket working pressure, motor power, heating power, stirring structure, etc. can be customized according to customers’ special requirements.
