1. Product Overview and Applications

The inverted conical multi-functional extraction tank is a versatile extraction device, often shortened to inverted conical extraction tank.

It supports a wide range of processes, including atmospheric pressure, slight pressure, water decoction, immersion, warm immersion, hot reflux, forced circulation percolation, aromatic oil recovery, and organic solvent recovery.

Due to its flexible design, it is widely used in traditional Chinese medicine, food, chemical engineering, and cosmetics industries.

2. Structural Features and Pros & Cons

The inverted conical multi-functional extraction tank uses a conical structure with a small upper section and a large lower section.

This inverted cone shape brings significant benefits; it improves slag discharge efficiency and delivers excellent heating performance.

However, this structure also has drawbacks. It is more difficult to manufacture, and the production process generates more material waste.

Despite these challenges, it remains a popular choice. It works especially well for the extraction and purification of materials with high solid content.

3. Material and Tank Body Design

The inverted conical extraction tank features a conical bottom structure.

We manufacture the tank body using high-quality 304 or 316L stainless steel.

We also polish the inner surface of the equipment to ensure cleanliness, eliminate dead corners, and prevent residue or adsorption.

In addition, we calculate the wall thickness based on working temperature, pressure, and material corrosion.

As a result, the tank offers strong pressure resistance, a smooth surface, and high extraction efficiency.

4. Slag Discharge Door Design

Our company uses a patented design for the slag discharge door.

After the main cylinder closes the door, two horizontal cylinders push the rotating lock ring into place.

The special lock ring structure lifts the door and completes the locking action securely.

This design makes the door safe, reliable, easy to operate, and highly airtight.

Most importantly, it provides a self-locking function even during power or air failure.

Our customized slag discharge door has zero displacement, no leakage, no liquid loss, and outstanding overall safety.

5. Upper Nozzle Configuration

The extraction tank includes a complete set of standard upper nozzles and components:
  • A. Quick-install manhole (feeding port) DN400, left-opening type
  • B. One set of 304 CIP universal cleaner, which rotates 360° and cleans thoroughly under pressure above 0.15kg
  • C. Explosion-proof sight glass lamp that meets GMP standards, with 24V working voltage and tempered glass sight glass
  • D. One 0–150℃ bimetallic thermometer, one pressure gauge, and one vacuum pressure gauge
  • E. Functional nozzles including slag outlet, liquid inlet and outlet, condensation cooling water inlet and outlet, steam inlet and outlet, standby port, and vent port; all use quick-install connections except threaded gauges
  • F. Supporting parts such as pipes, valves, clamps, and flanges
