Overview and Basic Definition

As the name suggests, heating and insulation storage tanks serve two key purposes: heating and heat preservation. We typically construct these tanks from stainless steel for durability.
Specifically, the heating function raises the temperature of stored materials. Additionally, the insulation function ensures the temperature remains stable over time.

Types of Thermal Insulation Tanks

Thermal insulation tanks mainly fall into two categories. First, some have a built-in heating function for active temperature control.
Second, others let you inject hot or cold media directly into the tank to maintain insulation. Notably, double-layer insulation tanks only provide insulation—they lack heating capabilities.
In contrast, three-layer insulation tanks (also called heating insulation tanks) combine both heating and insulation functions effectively.

Application and Supporting Equipment

Heating and insulation tanks are primarily used to heat, insulate, and store liquid materials. Besides, these tanks are widely applied in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries.
Furthermore, they can be paired with mixing tanks, liquid preparation tanks, and other equipment to achieve coordinated operation.

Classification of Heating and Insulation Tanks

Classified by form, there are two main types: vertical and horizontal stainless steel tanks.
When it comes to application classification, these tanks suit brewing, food, chemical, building materials, and other industries.
In terms of hygiene level, they can be divided into food-grade stainless steel tanks and ordinary stainless steel tanks.
Finally, regarding pressure requirements, they fall into pressure-bearing tanks and atmospheric pressure tanks.
